Outpatient Therapy
Outpatient therapy is treatment provided by a licensed professional. Many parents have found themselves thinking: I can’t believe I just said to my child the very thing my parents used to say to me! When a parent is able to make meaning from their own life story, they begin go make intentional parenting decisions rather than automatic decisions. Â Particularly helpful for parents who experience anxiety and guilt regarding parenting or general anxiety or depression. Particularly helpful for parents experiencing marriage conflict, depression, anxiety and a child with a difficult temperament or challenging/mysterious behaviors. May draw from solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, or other accepted and standardize treatments.
