Ted Stein, MS, LPC, BCC, BCPCC, NCTFCBT, NMT1 is the President of, and a psychotherapist at, Stein Counseling and Consulting Services Ltd.  He is frequently sought out for parenting and custody evaluations, marriage expertise, attachment evaluations, and complex case consultations. Prior to Stein Counseling and Consulting Services Ltd., Ted was an Adjunct Faculty Member at Viterbo University teaching undergraduate courses of Effective Behavior and Interviewing and a counselor.

Currently, he is mentored by Dr Bruce Perry, national expert in child trauma and developer of the the Neurosequential Model of Theraputics (aka “Brain Mapping”) as part of  the National Quality Improvement Center for Adoption and Guardianship Support and Preservation (QIC-AG). The project is a five-year project working with eight sites that will implement evidence-based interventions or develop and test promising practices which if proven effective can be replicated or adapted in other child welfare jurisdictions. Effective interventions are expected to achieve long-term, stable permanence in adoptive and guardianship homes for waiting children as well as children and families after adoption or guardianship has been finalized.
