Kristen Robatcek, M.S., is a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training and holds a Mental Health Counseling Master’s degree from Viterbo University of La Crosse, Wisconsin. She graduated in 2012 from Saint Mary’s University of Winona, Minnesota, with a Bachelors degree in Human Services. Kristen is an Outpatient, In-home, and Student Assistant Program counselor who is no stranger to the therapy field, having spent a total of 8 years in the field in various disciplines such as a Behavior Therapist, Rehabilitation Aide and Direct Service Professional. This experience taught her the importance of human growth, skill development, individuality and strength. Before joining Stein Counseling in 2017, Kristen worked for a diverse range of organizations including non-profit, private and small businesses.
Kristen’s varied background in therapy provides the foundation for counseling children, adolescents, adults and couples/spouses. She has worked with many individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, interpersonal concerns, identity development and relationship challenges. Kristen utilizes the following, but not limited to, approaches to therapy: cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), strengths-based client-centered therapy, interpersonal therapy, solution-focused (SF), motivational interviewing (MI), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma informed treatment.
