Julie Olson

Julie Olson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University—Rochester, Minnesota. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Julie has been working with individuals and families for the last 10 years both as an Outpatient Therapist  and as an In-Home Counselor. Julie is familiar with a variety of life’s struggles, having been married for over 25 years, and also having 5 adult children and 7 (and counting) grandchildren. Prior to returning to school, Julie dedicated her time and energy to her very important role as a full-time homemaker. Once her children had grown older and more independent, Julie devoted herself to her professional studies. Being a little older before entering the Counseling field has given Julie valuable experience in a variety of problems confronted in life. Julie’s other interests in philosophy and spirituality have added to her understanding of men and women’s need for acceptance and significance.

Julie’s roles at Stein Counseling and Consulting Services, Ltd. have given her experience in helping individuals learn to deal with depression and anxiety. Passionate about growth and change in life, Julie provides support that helps her clients deal with struggles in difficult life situations, examine options for making life more meaningful, and learn alternative ways of thinking and believing that could lead to greater satisfaction in relationships.
