About Brienne Shaker, MSW, LCSW – Clinical Supervisor

Brienne (Brie) Shaker is an outpatient therapist and the Clinical Supervisor for Stein Counseling and Consulting Services, Ltd.  Brie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in mental health from the University of Wisconsin Madison.  

Brie see’s children as young as three, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. Brie is a LGBTQ+ advocate and identifies her office as a “safe place” for all genders and orientations.

Before joining Stein Counseling and Consulting Services in 2017, Brie  worked for a Child Advocacy Center as a forensic interviewer and family advocate.  As a forensic interviewer, Brie was responsible for providing legally defensible forensic interviews of children, teenagers, and special needs adults when there were allegations of abuse or when the individual witnessed violence to another person.  As an advocate, Brie coordinated and provided services to caregivers and their children including assessments, crisis intervention, ongoing support, education and information referrals, and acted as a liaison between the family and the legal systems.  

Brie has additional experience with residential mental health services aiding clients with persistent mental illness. Brie also has extensive experience working with legal diversion programs in the area  assisting clients who are alleged domestic violence perpetrators and struggle with anger challenges. 

Brie has experience with  abuse, couples, parenting,  anxiety, trauma, child custody, depression, domestic violence, domestic violence perpetration, families,  grief, sexual abuse and trauma, women’s issues, and identity challenges. 

Brie’s background working with children, teenagers, families, and couples and her training/education in mental health provides the perfect foundation for her role at Stein Counseling and Consulting Services as an Outpatient Therapist and Clinical Supervisor.
