Outpatient Psychotherapists

Job Summary:

We are very family friendly and believe family comes first!! Position will provide outpatient therapy services to Christian and non-Christian clients. Therapist provides assessment, planning, consulting, education and referral services to SCCS clients and family members. Therapists act as consultants and leaders throughout the organization, while supporting organizational strategies and goals. In addition, the therapist will diagnose and provide psychotherapy as needed to patients and/or their families. May perform specialized activities or functions; depending on level of experience – operates under either a clinical supervision model or a collaboration model. Preference will be given to experience with couples and children!! We are looking to hire providers in both offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides Outpatient Therapy services to individuals, couples, and families using research based knowledge and counseling skills purposely .
  • Fulfill other counseling roles depending on agency need and client referral pattern.
  • Maintains case records in accordance with agency policy.
  • Assist other staff as necessary.
  • Understands and follows policies and procedures of the Outpatient Counseling/Psychotherapy Department, and of Stein Counseling & Consulting Services, Ltd., as outlined in the department and agency policy manuals.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled individual and group supervision, and ongoing evaluation.
  • Participates in staff meetings and other agency meetings.
  • Maintains relationships with referral resources.
  • Maintains continuing education credits in accordance to state/licensure guidelines and Stein Counseling & Consulting Services policy.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, consistent with this position description, as requested by the President of Stein Counseling & Consulting Services, Ltd.
  •  Maintain awareness of behavioral, crisis-management techniques, and personal safety as well as physical skills necessary relative to frequent travel/driving.
  • Develops personal and professional goals annually.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed in the state of Wisconsin to practice counseling (LPC, LMFT, Licensed MSW, etc) required. SAC or CSAC preferred. Master’s Degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family, Social Work, Psychology, or related field and 3000 hours of documented working experience with Axis I and Axis II diagnoses. Successful candidates will have good organizational skills. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within the concept of a team. Requires valid Wisconsin driver’s license and reliable transportation with adequate auto liability insurance and a good driving record. Qualified applicants must also be WMAP (medicaid) certified or eligible for certification. Preference given to individuals with experience with couples and working knowledge of Gottman Marital Therapy Method and Solution Focused Therapy and Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor status or similar. Hours:

This position can be a flexible schedule. We are open M, T, W from 8 AM to 8 PM and Thursday and Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. Hours can be discussed. We are hiring two to three full time (35+ hours) positions. We ask that individuals find the right balance of meeting our clients needs and family/self needs. We do believe in families (our own) are a priority in life. We would consider Part Time positions as well!! We are looking for staff in our Onalaksa office. We are also looking for staff for our Black River Falls office.
